It's easy to get distracted by a beautiful campus, amazing gym facility and the overwhelming amount of information that is dumped on you by tour guides and admissions reps during your college visits. The new book The Price You Pay for College, by Ron Lieber is a fantastic guide for focusing on what is really important when your child begins considering the schools that will be right for them and your family's budget. I always remind my families that college is a business and we need to be careful consumers by doing our homework, comparing our options and being careful not to be sucked in by a fancy sales pitch.
